The underage victim left the trendy 92 Ludlow St. lounge at roughly 2 a.m. on Feb. 19 after drinking with his sister to catch a cab, police said. Sometime later at another location, two men with a gun punched the victim and demanded the watch off his wrist, according to a police.
The victim said he did not recall where the robbery had occurred, and did not provide descriptions of the suspects, according to a police report.
The victim was treated at Interfaith Medical Center in Crown Heights, according to authorities.
Hotel Chantelle management said the lounge takes underage drinking seriously and that the victim had used a fake ID.
"It is extremely unfortunate this incident occurred this past Saturday night. Hotel Chantelle management takes these matters very seriously," reads a statement from Hotel Chantelle management.
"The safety of our guests is our top priority and we have a very strict over 21 policy. We reviewed security footage to identify how this person entered the building and our ID scanners and cameras show this patron using a stolen over 21 ID impersonating someone that matched the same description that successfully scanned into our ID scanners. This guest then spent a few hours celebrating a birthday with family members that included his sister."
Management representatives further clarified the incident had not taken place in the vicinity of Hotel Chantelle, but had occurred after the victim got into a cab.
Editor's Note: An earlier version of this story, using information taken from a police report on the incident, stated the reported robbery took place in front of Hotel Chantelle. Though police had listed Hotel Chantelle as the location of the incident because it is the last place the victim remembers being, authorities have since discovered upon reviewing surveillance footage that the victim was not robbed between leaving the lounge and getting into a cab.
